That Frantz Henrich Schmidt's wife might be the daughter of Andreas Buggenhagen (and Anna Toppin?) is based on the following:
1) Frantz Henrich Schmidt named his eldest son Andreas, this wouldsuggest that the father of either Frantz or his wife was named Andreas.
2) Frantz Henrich Schmidt named his second born son Berendt Friderich.Christopher Olufsen Sonne and his wife Anne Marie Buggenhagen named theirsons: Bernhard, Hans and Ole. Hans is the patronymic of ChristopherOlufsen Sonne's mother: Maren Hansdatter Ancher, while Ole/Oluf isChristopher's own patronymic, his father being Oluf Nielsen Sonne.Bernhard is not a name otherwise known in the Sonne family at this time, which suggests that it is a name from Anne Marie Buggenhagen's family.Berendt is a variation in spelling on the name Bernhard.
3) Martha Hofmann, Andreas von Buggenhagen's 2nd wife, carried FrantzHenrich Schmidt's son, Andreas, to his October 24th 1688 baptism:"Torsdag den 25, christned Frantz Smidt Trompetters barn, kaldedAndreas. Susc.: Frue Oberst Leutenant Bugenhagens."
4) Anne Marie Buggenhagen, the wife of Christopher Olufsen Sonne, carried Frantz Henrich Schmidt's daughter Anne Gissel to her May 10th1691 baptism: "Dom. Cantate blef døbt Frans Trometers barn kaldetAne-Gissel, det bar til daaben Christoffer Olsens kiereste af AacherSogn, nemlig Ana Maria Bugenhagen."
5) Christopher Olufsen Sonne attended the November 9th 1694 baptism ofFrantz Schmidt's son Christian: "Fredagen den 9 November blef døbt FransTrompeters søn kaldet Christian. . . Christoffer Olsen paa Myregaard iAacher Sogn. . ."
6) Anne Marie Buggenhagen carried Anne Gissel Frantzdatter Smidt's sonHans Hansen Kofoed to his July 11th 1728 baptism: "Bapt. Hans Kofods paaMyregaard drenge barn Hans. Susc: Anna Marie Buggenhagen."
7) We see from the 1689 land-tenancy book that Andreas von Buggenhagenwas the tax-payer for Store Myregård. And we know that his daughter AnneMarie and her husband, Christopher Olufsen Sonne, began living at thefarm circa 1692. Since all three of Anne Marie Buggenhagen andChristopher Olufsen Sonne's children died in early childhood, the rightsto obtain the farm would have gone to a member of Anne MarieBuggenhagen's family! And who became the next owner of Store Myregårdafter Christopher Olsen Sonne's death? None other than Anne GisselFrantzdatter Smidt's newly wed husband, Hans Kofoed Hansen!
Note: No marriage record for Frantz Henrich Schmidt to be found in theBornholm parish registers (they must have been married between 1675 and1688, most likely between 1685 and 1687); possibly the couple weremarried in Åker-Åkirkeby parish (where Andreas von Buggenhagen is knownto have lived from 1686 to 1692) - it is notable that the records for theperiod 1683 through 1686 are missing from the register! Also, I searchedthe Nyker burial records for burial of Frantz Henrich Schmidt's wife from1690 through 1700, and the Knudsker burial records from 1705 through theend of 1770 - nothing found. I did find several references to "FrantzTompeters kiereste" in the Nyker kirkebog, however not once is shementioned by her own given name! Based on the names her children gavetheir daughters, it is probable that her given name was either Anne, AnneSibylla, or Anne Marie. The above leads me to conclude that her namewould seem most likely to have been: Anne Sibylla Buggenhagen! FrantzHenrich Schmidt's sons are known to have lived in Rønne - possibly shedied in Rønne?
Andreas von Buggenhagen was married to his second wife Martha Hofmann onFebruary 21st 1683 in Holmen's Church, København; possibly his first wifeAnna Toppin died in København circa 1682? Need to check: København(Byretten and Hofretten) probate and guardianship records.
