- In the book "Nachkommen Gorms des Alten" (Descendants of Gorm) bySiegfried Otto Brenner (published in 1978 by the Danish GenealogySociety), Tuve Galen is said to be a descendant of Gorm. The book listsfour of his children: Anders Galen, mention in records dating 1383through 1399; Peder Galen mentioned in 1400; Ingefred Tuvesdatter Galendied in 1396, married to Johannes Absalonsen Ulfeldt, died 1396; andun-named daughter married to Conrad Isenvorde (Isenfurt) who is mentionedin 1396 and 1397), esquire in Skåne.
Tue Galen was a Knight (Ridder) and Squire (Godsejer), and owner ofNäsbyholm in Skåne (now in Bunkefold parish, Oxie district, Malmöhuscounty). Tue Galen and Ingefred Pedersdatter Urup were married beforeApril 15, 1345. He was Marshal (Marskal) from 1364, and Gældker (Kongenshøjeste embedsmand = King's highest officer) in Scåne from 1376-1383.
In 1368 Valdemar leaves Denmark to his governor Henning Podebusk while hepursues support in Europe. Albrekt of Sweden attacks Skåne, takingcontrol of the north-west. He is supported by Tue Andersen Galen (nephewof Peder Jensen, the previous Archbishop), Anders Jakobsen Grim and HasseTuesen Galen. The war goes against Denmark. The cathedral compound inLund is conquered and Åhus is besieged. Archbishop Niels Joensen (Bild)flees to Bornholm.
In 1377 the Skåne knights Tue Galen and Anders Jakobsen declare forAlbrekt, along with Jakob Axelsen Thott, Peter Due and squire Jesse Tufe,in return for sums of money. Tue was estranged from King Oluf because ofhis known sympathy for the concerns of the city of Mecklenburg. In 1382Queen Margrethe defeated the rebellious Tue Galen "Gälkare" (steward) ofSkåne. There was no successor appointed to his office.
