- Note (Overført juli 2019 fra Norman Lee Madsens database)
Peder Kofoed inherited Baggegård estate in 1616 and sold it in 1625, after which he moved to Malmö in Skåne province [now in Malmöhus county(län), Sverige]. Inherited Baggård, Klemensker parish, and two other farms after his father died; he sold all three to Matthias Puttkammer.
Skåne (aka Scania) was a Danish province for several hundred years before it was lost in war to the Swedes; handed over to Sverige/Sweden as a result of the "Peace of Roskilde", signed in 1658. The old territory of Skåne now comprises the counties (läns) of Malmöhus and Kristianstad.
This database researched and compiled by Norman Lee Madsen, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
