- Note (Norman Lee Madsen, registreret i tilknytning til Elsebye nn)
Bornholm's "Jordebog" (Land-book) of 1598 shows that Peder Nielsen was the taxpayer for Vester Åbygård, 24 Slg. Nyker, "som Niels Pedersen før paa boede" (where previously Niels Pedersen had lived). From 1612 onward Peder Nielsen lived at Øster Åbygård, 23 Slg. Nyker, until his death circa 1640.
In 1640 his name disappears from the tax-register and is followed by the name of Niels Hansen, who must have married his widow as he is referred to as "opsidder" (farm manager) for Øster Åbygård. Niels Hansen had previously been recorded as being a "bonde" at Bukkegård, 27 Slg. Nyker, in 1611, 1622 through 1624, then at Skovgård, 28 Slg. Nyker, from 1625. Niels Hansen is recorded in the tax-register in 1642, 1644, and 1649, however in 1651, through to 1662, Niels Hansen's widow Elsebe is recordedon the tax-register for Øster Åbygård.
